then re-watched to just past that last year, and will probably continue

Ash became pokemon master, finally after 25 years, i guess its time for conan as well to finally become the greatest detective of all time (better than sherlock as well) by beating Rum and Org. :D

I mean the premise of detective Conan isn’t conan being the greatest detective from the beginning it was trying to stop the black organization and trying to get back to his original body/teenage life

exactly and the issue with the anime is more the filler amount.
at least with the manga, even the side stories tend to always have a bit of plot progression sprinkled in and it seems like its going to go towards one of the worst outcomes as rum seems to have figured out what APTX 4869 actually dose to some extent.
